NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. It is the concept that you are the master of your own mind, not only that, but your behaviour, thoughts, language and brain programming are all yours to control. In doing so, you will find any transformation easy and effortless, you will find any goal to be achievable and any challenge, simply a learning curve.
The NLP movement was started by Richard Bandler & John Grinder in the 1970s. Bandler once stated “You were only born with two fears, fear of falling and fear of loud noise. The rest is learned. That’s a lot of work!” If we consider the brain to be like a computer, programmed with perceptions, concepts, ideas, values, truths and beliefs, all uniquely created from our experiences and map of the world, we can understand that all truths are learnt. If this is so, not all truths are true and not all beliefs are laws. Things aren’t always as they seem and often by simply reframing an issue from another perspective can provide clarity and room for movement that wasn’t there before.
The Transformation Practice can assist you in reframing your thoughts, language and behaviours, reprogramming your brain so that negative thought patterns can be left behind, leaving you free to move forward and achieve your goals, however big or small they may be.
